Classes

The following classes are open to anyone whishing to learn ballet, from the age of 4 years old. The only condition is to love ballet.

Preparation for Ballet

From 4 to 6 years old.
The Baby-Dance and Initiation calsses ,are the classes where the children discover slowly the ballet technique and start developping their artistiry. All the exercises the children do, follow their morphology, maturity and comprehension depending on their age.

Classical Ballet

From 7 years old.
These regular classes, which continue up to the adult section, keep working on the ballet technique.

Special Class (semi-professional)

From 14 to 18 years old.
The pre-professional class fulfill the interests for young dancers who are interested in high level training in classical ballet. The basic technique is already strong which leaves more possibility to work and expend the dancers artistic sense.

Classe Espoirs

From 10 to 13 years old

The espoirs are students of the Geneva Dance Center chosen for their potential and their motivation, in order to prepare them to possibly enter the semi-professionnal section. This class alows the students to beneficiate from an extra class in their regular program.

Modern classes

This class will let you experience and aquire the principale base of contemporary dance ( the technique of movement and spacing, consciousness of weight baring, loosening of the movement, improvisation…).

Le jeune ballet

lejeuneballet.ch consists of ballet

students, aged 14 to 20, drawn from

the pre-professional classes of the

Geneva Dance Center.

Pilates

Through varied exercises, we learn how to activate weak muscles and realese the muscles that are too tight in order to balance the body. you learn to become concious of your own body and of each muscles correct fonction.

Pre professional formation

From 16 to 20 years old.
A full daily program enables the dancers in this class to perfect their training within the Geneva Dance Center, in order to audition and join a professional company, or prepare themselves to enter a national or international professional school.
